This has been a year characterized by several transformations that we have all had to get used to.  One of these changes has undoubtedly been the affirmation of Smart working, which is estimated to remain a fundamental element within our routine.

Smart working is defined by Emanuele Madini (Associate partner of P4l-Partners4Innovation and expert in smart working and HR Transformation) as the organizational model that intervenes in the relationship between individual and company; proposes autonomy in working methods in the face of the achievement of results and presupposes the “intelligent” rethinking of the ways in which work activities are carried out.

This organizational model is a valid alternative to on-site work, which leads to optimizing daily times as it allows you to reconcile work and domestic environments and promotes the well-being of employees; it also has a positive impact on personal satisfaction which leads, consequently, to an increase in productivity.

In this working context, the importance of technologies has emerged: we have learned how thanks to the web it is no longer necessary to be present in the office as mobile phones, PCs or any other IT device with access to a network allows us to always be available; it is possible to use, through these devices, services that go beyond voice, just think of video conferencing and instant messaging features.

For companies, the importance of having their own work tools anytime and anywhere, in order to be productive both in the office and outside the company and to have organizational models at the height to share documents and information, has also emerged.

Communication must converge on the individual wherever he is.

However, this organizational model leads to ensuring a greater level of responsibility when it comes to cybersecurity; you must have reliable security solutions on all devices remembering your digital protection.

Thanks to smart working, therefore, an ideal of “unified” communications is realized, in which the digital individual who remains at the center can take advantage of these opportunities while remaining protected and all around the platforms of systems and data are connected.

We are entering a new era of integrated experiences where technology infrastructures and people need to be better connected to deliver the same experience we are all experiencing as digital consumers.
